Policy No: 000274062 I was approached by an agent for a policy which will enable to get higher interest and only a single premium to be paid. He came with forms and got my signature and left with a cheque for Rs. 20000/-.When I got the policy in the fictitious name as a policy holder but addressed to my flat I found the policy is not the same I was promised. I immediately wrote to the company that I did not agree to the terms and conditions of the policy and I sought refund to the account from which the premium was paid. The company wrote to the fictitious name to inform that they could not talk to him on phone. I talked to them on phone from Kolkata and also while I was abroad (U.S.A.) but to no effect. The company is not writing to me but called me on phone to tell me that they could pay back only to the policy holder who did not exist.

I am frustrated with the insurance company’s apathy towards me though I paid the premium. They are banking on the wrong data filled up by the Company’s people and forged signature of a person who did not exist.Besides the Rs. 20,000 I paid I feel harassed and lot of expenses on transport and filing letters besides losing interest had I invested elsewhere.
