Reliance – Tariff- increased No reply thereafter No solution by centre

1/1/2014 To CCC Consumer Coordination Council In its Consumers Handbook, TRAI describes the following rules. A tariff plan offered by an access provider shall be available to a subscriber for a minimum period of six months from the date of enrollment of the subscriber to that tariff plan.Telecom operators can not increase tariffs of subscriber plans for six months from the enrolment date but they are free to reduce call rates at the same time, sectoral regulator Trai said. I pointed out this rule of TRAI to RELIANCE people when in two months only after I purchased their connection, they raised tariff from Rs. 123 to Rs. 156 for 1GB of 3G data access. I sent an email to Customercare_relianceada.com and I got their computerized acknowledgement against their ref no. Reliance 013-425-402. No reply thereafter. No solution. No redressal. I emailed the reminder too but again the same deafening silence from RELIANCE. I contacted their complaint registering no. 198 to lodge my complaint as how they are violating TRAI rules and increasing the tariff at their wish and whim. They refused to take down my complaint. Shamelessly they told me that they did not recognize any TRAI and they would go as per their own rules only. What a dictatorship. What an adamancy to loot people, which simply amount to dirty and illegal trade practices, demanding from the regulatory authorities to take stern actions against RELIANCE MOBILE, for their such illegal business activities against TRAI rules clearly a daylight loot. NOW, we also attach herewith the PDF copy of the wrapper/envelope of Reliance itself, in which they sell their SIM, wherein they promise in writing, which anyone could see easily. A promise of SALE of no increase in tariff for 6 months. And they are bound to print it and obey it as per the TRAI rules. Violating it amounts to Breach of Contract too, a punishable offence. We have to their arbitrarily increased tariff of Rs. 156 every month, in place of their originally promised tariff of Rs. 123 for 1GB of 3G data.

Refund of illegal excess charged amount we paid to Reliance so far plus they got to promise not to increase the tariff for six month since our enrolment with them.
