There were 3 policies (Policies Nos. 101212815651,101212899884 &101212899930) in Aegon Religare Life Insurance. My son had complained of forgery and tempering in these policies. Company cancelled all three policies on my son’s consent and issued a single pay policy to my son. My son applied for free look cancellation and company refunded him entire amount. My grievance is this that (101212899930) this policy was on my name then how can company cancel this policy and make a refund to my son without my consent. Herein I have attached resolution letter and consent letter provided by the company for your reference in which you can see that consent letter is signed by my son not by me. Now company is not refunding my amount whereas I was the owner of this policy and my consent to cancel or refund is mandatory. Ms. Premila (Aegon’s Employee) said that email id of my son was registered in this policy. I asked to Ms. Premila then what’s the matter if my son email id is registered in this policy. If his email id is registered it doesn’t mean he is authorised to cancel the policy. Kindly let me know Ms. Premila if your email id is registered in your father policy or saving account are you authorised to take money out of it without your father consent. You have prepared a resolution letter of 3 pages by doing so much effort but it is useless. My signature is not on consent letter and this is a matter of deception at your end. Because if my son has signed the consent letter of my policy, it’s your duty to reject it and tell him to get it sign by me. You people did not obey your duties and without checking the documents and paper formalities refunded the amount to my Son. My amount was invested into your company on my name and you are not authorised to pay it someone else without my consent. You people cheated with me and performed an unethical business practice that’s why you are liable to pay my policy amount. Here I appeal to IRDA officials and Consumer Forum Officials to look into the matter and take a strict action against Aegon religare.
