An appointment letter vide no.E-I/APPT/48th BN/SSB/D-DUN/12/-7512-15 dated 04.06.13 was issued by 48th Bn, SSB, Dehradun (Uttarakhand) to my brother Shri Satyendra Kumar by registered post vide no.RV299720010IN dt.04.06.13. But the same had been returned by the Postmaster, MIT, Muzaffarpur, Bihar 842003 indicating various reasons viz. “address incorrect”, “door locked” and “refused to accept” to the issuing authority.

Due to return of such kind of important letter of appointment, we had to face a lot of problems like mental and physical harassment, delay in accepting the offer of appointment and the case may lead to cancellation of appointment in case of non appearance at the venue in time. Besides, a lot of money has been spent by me for fact finding due to delay in receipt of the letter.

Approximately, my brother has incurred a loss of Rs.10000/- towards expenses and delay in joining his duties. The same may be recouped by the concerned authority and a stringent action may be initiated against the erring official so that such kind of incidence does not recur in future with others.
