Sir / Madam, This is with reference to the challenge I am facing with one of the company – “Sag Infotech” (company) registered with your esteemed Association (NASSCOM) for the purchase of software which was supposed to have assisted in filing of income tax return with the Income Tax dept (ITD) portal. In this regard I wish to bring to your kind attention that based on the Consumer Grievances Redressal mechanism forums it was suggested that in case of any deficiency in the product / service rendered the same can be bought to the notice of the company concerned and if the said company refuses to address the same in prudent and judicious manner, the grievance can be brought to the notice of the concerned association with which the company is associated like Chamber of Commerce etc. In this case since the company is member of your esteemed association and also since the venerated association advocates a “Code of Conduct” to its members I though it to be wise to bring the matter to your kind attention. In this case I had purchased software from the said company on 30th June 2014 by paying the requisite amount through NEFT mode as quoted by them. The main reason for purchase of the software is to upload & file Income Tax returns with the Income Tax Department (ITD) portal of the government. None of their executives either at the time of giving demo of the product or during the course of innumerous interactions I had, at no point of time it was mentioned that in order to upload returns with the ITD portal the log-in credentials of the client are necessary. Willfully and tactfully they have hidden the fact that the log-in credentials are required or that they are not registered with nsdl as e-filing intermediary. Yet they continue to advertise that the software is capable of uploading the returns with ITD portal (The same can be verified on their website and a screen shot of the same is attached for your kind reference at the bottom) vide “auto process” command / option in the software. Without the availability of this option I am better even without the software and can directly request my clients to share their details in this regard and upload the same at the e-filing portal of the ITD. From the way they have responded to each requests via mails on different instances, it is quite evident that they were even suggesting me to do whatever I want; as if they were above law and are free to indulge in unprofessional conduct. There seems to be devious attempts to make hay for their own business even if it’s privation and detrimental to others. As you can note from their responses in mails below, despite several request / reminders to handle the issue with fairness and refund my money they have responded with aberrant arrogance and high-handedness which is highly deplorable and disdainful.
