Samsung Plasma TV Customer’s Review

My children bought me a Samsung Plasma on 03-07-2012. I have been using a BPL television since last 25 years, hence they took the bold decision on buying an expensive television on EMI. Total 12 months EMI’s were paid. Total amount was 78000 INR. After lot of research bought Samsung plasma after months of research and placed my trust in brand Samsung. Many suggested me to go for Panasonic, however I was surrounded by Samsung products at my home and decided to put my trust further in Samsung and thus made the most expensive and costly electronic purchase of my life. This was a big investment for us. I thought in my retirement I can rely on Samsung plasma and easily enjoy 8-10 years with this product. To my surprise, after 1 year 3 months of nominal use, the panel went faulty. To my horror, when I contacted Samsung customer care, one standard answer was given to me that this product is out of 1 year warranty and I need to pay up appx 22000 INR which was a shock to me. I tried to explain my situation to customer care executives here locally, but all in vain. I wrote multiple emails to them, none was taken seriously or acted upon. It has been months since I am chasing them but it is of no use. I asked for simple details like case number like 5 times, even that was not provided. I understand that this being electronic product is bound to get faulty, however what hurts me most is the attitude and the way I was treated by customer care executives over last few months. Now they have stopped responding to my emails and plasma is totally dead. I am unable to use this product any longer. I am 63 of age and unable to do anything , neither can i pay the huge price samsung is asking for repair nor use this product. I request you to kindly help me fight this case with Samsung. It always reminds me of horror that samsung has provides to me over last few months. Have attached few of the mails exchanged with samsung officials over last few months.

I want Samsung to replace me the plasma or repair the current one. I am not claiming anything against the mental torture that they have done. I only need my television to be working again.
