On 18th Nov,2012 i went for the servicing of our office vehicle at the mahindra 2 Wheeler’s authorized service center,they charge for engine oil Rs.240 while the actual price which is mentioned on the pack was Rs.188 but they stick an additional sticker on the actual printed price. when i have asked about the tempering with the actual price the person who is heading the service center have rudely reject the question and said i have to give Rs 240 for engine oil if want to get the scooter serviced. when i have talked to the representative of mahindra 2 wheeler about the inappropriate business practices carried out by their service partners they said they will take care of the matter and will contact soon. Even after i have approached them many times till then but they have not taken any action in this regard and neither have informed me about the same. The behavior of the representatives of mahindra 2 wheeler was simply showing they are protecting their service partner. I would like to make it clear that the representatives of company have accepted that the actual price for that engine oil is Rs.188 and said if service center have charged more than that they will take it very seriously but even after around one and half month after they have not resolved the matter. Here my concern is not just i had to pay Rs.52 more but the way the person from service center have simply rejected the query and moreover the company have taken it for granted, it is just showing that the loss of a single customer is not significant but they want to retain their such a service center which is generating business for them even if it is carried on open cheating with customers.

Here moreover than the physical or economic loss i think as a citizen my right to question about something illegal is being overruled first by the service center and then by the mahindra 2 wheeler. I am sure these small service centers dare to do such an open cheating just because they are confident that first many of the victims will not take it till the end to get a final solution even if they raise their voice and contact the mahindra 2 wheeler’s representatives, company will not take the decision which will reduce their profit because they can easily bear the loss of a small customer.

The franchise/dealership of Sapna Automobiles should immediately be terminated and the representatives from mahindra 2 wheeler who are taking care of this matter should be terminated for favoring such an open cheating and also the person in whose territory Raebareli comes should also be terminated for having their eyes closed about the open cheating by their service center. These action should be taken to give a strong message to rest of the service/product provider that whether it is Rs.1 or Rs.1 Crore cheating is corruption is corruption. These action s will also gave a confidence to the consumers that anything and everything against consumer rights will not be tolerated. Moreover if people will get their quarries solved and get the culprits punished they will raise their voice against even a miner misdealing and lesser they will accept the situation and system as it is.
