SBI – Deficieny service Bar code Passbook

Today myself and my wife went to SBI, branch code: 1679 and wanted to have the Bar-Code available onto the Pass-book so that automated machine can have the passbook updated always A.: Firstly, we went to the Information center, and requested for how we can ge this service. He was not helpful at all. He was firstly busy in providing special service by talking on Mobile Phone to some Doctor person. and we were standing there for 5 minutes/ then we asked him how can we get the bar-code attached onto the Pass-book. he did not provide any direct and clear answer I asked for his name, which we refused to give. I do not know why? B. Secondly, I tried to meet the General Manager [Mr. Mulwani] but there again, to my surprise, his care-taker and the person on the information center came and asked me , you cannot meet the GM, I stated why I cannot meet him, there was no satisfactory Answer I was suprised, that as a customer why can’t I meet the GM was I wrong? C. Thirdly, Finally I got to meet the GM, Mr. Mulwani and to my surprise, he was not at all helpful. I requested him about the details for the process of getting bar-code to the Passbook, but I got a dis-couraging remark that it takes 20-30 minutes to get a BAR-Code done on a Pass-book and when I asked why his staff was getting the pass-book and other services onto the counters from the back side, and was that activity approved by him as a GM, he was unable to answer me and gave me a lame Excuse that probably his staff was helping some aged, or some ill person, which he was not even approved or known to him.

What I want:? Accountability ? is there an accountability on the SBI 1679 branch working? Why is there a not a simple known process of getting bar-code onto the pass-book? Myself and my wife have gone thru mental harrassment and agony because of this. We would like this to be resolved not only for us but for general public as well. Resolution, where all customers are treated fairly and there is information details available at the information desk, on how to get the Bar-code done at the pass-book without any hassles and knowning somebody at the branch as a customer.
