SnapDeal Didn’t Replace Sheesham Wood Traditional Sideboard

I ordered online a “Sheesham Wood Traditional Sideboard” from SnapDeal on Jan 16, 2014 for Rs. 5781. I received this order with couple of days delay from the promised date. When I received this order it had several issues for which I asked for replacement. I got assurance from SnapDeal that I will get replacement of the product. However, I got an email on March 7, 2014 that SnapDeal has cancelled my order with unknown reasons. When I called SnapDeal and asked for the explanation, I was informed that the product is not available at same price I ordered earlier as the product price has been increased by the seller (House of Furniture). SnapDeal representative suggested me to order that product again with increased price (Rs. 11199) which I was willing to do. I also sent email to SnapDeal stating that I need replacement, not refund but I did not receive any reply on the same. I also told SnapDeal that I can wait for more time.

I am a high BP patient and I had to face issues due to this behavior of SnapDeal and its seller. This was total harassment for me (mentally & physically). My money was lying with SnapDeal for almost 2 months that I could have used for some other purpose and could have earned some interest on that money.

I need that the similar product should be made available to me at the same price I ordered earlier and compensation for the harassment caused due to SnapDeal and its seller. A penalty should be imposed on SnapDeal and its seller so that they do not harass people with such kind of activities.
