Sony Digital Camera Problems

I purchased Sony Cyber Shot DSC-W710/E32 on 30th March 2013 from Viva Electronics,Virar. On 6th April 2013, I found a fault with its display. So I reported the same to the Authorized service center in Virar,( Dist-Thane, Maharashtra) on 8th April 2013 . The authorized person in service center kept the camera with them for inception. After 2 days, service center team reported that there is display damaged due to water logging and it need to be repaired. Again after 2 days the team reported us that the camera is non-repairable. They said that ‘according to company policy you can purchase new Sony product and you will be offered 25% off on the same’. As said by the authorized service center person that there is water logging, I disagree with that. Since from my side there was no such careless thing occurred. My Job sheet number is J30601315. I even disagree with the offer given to me of 25 % discount. Since the camera got damaged within a week of purchase and it falls within warranty period

I even called the toll free number of Sony India i.e 18001037799 to launch a complaint I was assured that I will get a revert within 48 hours. I even sent a remainder, but neither got a call back nor an email. The customer care person asked me to give a written application to the service center so that service center can escalate the issue. But service center person refused to accept the application. Please tell me what are the necessary action taken and whom should I approach for this issue.
