SONY mobile – Not Providing Service in warranty period

I purchased SONY mobile handset Xperia ZR on 22-Jan-2014 and it is in warranty period. It fell down and the battery pin got broken. Therefore I went to Vigneshwar Services (SONY Service center) for servicing, but they told that they will not repair it; even I was ready to pay the service charges. Vigneshwar Services asked me to pay Rs. 13,999/- for replacement of the same model! As SONY is a reputed brand that’s why I decided to purchase it in Rs. 26,000/-. Since SONY service center denied to repair it instead asked to pay Rs. 13,999/- for replacement of the new handset, which is not acceptable to me. How can SONY sell their product without service? I need justice for this issue and hence logged this complaint. Please do the needful asap. 1. Servicing of the mobile with affordable cost or replacement of the mobile with minimum charges. 2. Cost occurred due to mentioned in Consequences section.
