Ms Smitha A S and myself,Praveen V Prasad had booked a flight ticket on 21st Aug 2014 for traveling from Kolkata to Trivandrum via Chennai on 15th December with PNR number H584FP. The flight got canceled and rescheduled four times , after the chaos finally they offered me to fly on 16th December from Kolkata to Trivandrum via Mumbai . The support from the customer care was too poor, they didn’t attended my calls even after 1 hr and so. On 16th Dec the flight was scheduled to fly on 7.00am to Mumbai reaching Mumbai by 10.10 am and from there my connecting flight to Trivandrum was at 4.55pm. The flight got delayed in Kolkata airport for 6 hrs and departed at 1.00pm. Before I boarded the flight I asked spicejet officials that whether they were operating flights from Mumbai or not, and they replied that all the flights from Mumbai are operational. So I boarded the flight. Unfortunately when I reached Mumbai, I came to know that none of the flights were operating. Literally we got trapped into a new city . We begged them to arrange any alternatives since we had to attend an interview on the very next date. They didn’t listen to us. Some time later , I realized that they are not going to do anything for us, then we requested to provide accommodation for us, since we do not know anything about the city. They refused that too. They simply canceled our ticket and offered Full refund which was Rs 6198.00, told us which will be refunded within 2-3 days. We have to move outside airport and we booked a new ticket for Rs 40580.00 on Goair on next date. I had to spend Rs 2200(1600+600) for hotel and travel in Mumbai. Few days later I again called the spicejet customer care support regarding the same, this time they told me you will get only partial refund ie Rs 3099 in another 7 days. I canceled my other ticket(PNR: U8E9MJ) from Trivandrum to Kolkata on 9th January. Till now I have not get any money back in my account. I wish to complaint against Spicejet pvt ltd and Sun Group for cheating and compensation in court . Before that I would like to hear from you.
