Tata Indicom – issues with connectivity poor service

I had subscribed for post paid TATA photon plus braodband connection 3 years back. But until recently, my connection started showing issues with connectivity. When I placed a complaint for technician to visit my house & check the device, nobody turned up. But TATA teleservices kept on billing me every month. I paid all my dues in Nov & asked TATA customer care to cancel my connection. The customer care executive tried convincing me to not cancel the connection as I would loose my device cost but rather put it on safe custoday till my complaint is resolved for which there would be no monthly billing for 6 months. I received a mail confirmation for the same for customer care team as well. But TATA kept my billing as usual & now they are threatening a legal notice on me for recovery of Rs 2947 dues.

Dear Sir/Madam, Firstly, I want my connection to be cancelled immediately. I dont want to keep any relations with TATA Teleservices. Secondly, I want compensation from them for all the mental trauma, abuse & harassment they caused to me. Even after clearing all dues in Nov 2013 for which I was unable to use the device, they have today slapped a legal notice on me.
