Tata sky – Adapter defective found internal fault

Dear Sir, I purchased tata sky set up box 3-4 months back approx. and is in guarantee/warranty up to 1 year. My adapter got defective and found internal fault (adapter burnt from inside due to material failure) and there is no any physical damage in it as per their (tata sky) service technician so it should be cover in warranty but their service technician saying that it is chargeable and it will add in my bill/next recharge. It is totally due to manufacturing defect not physical damage, if they charge for that then what mean of warranty they are giving for 1 year. They are just making fool to their customers.
