Vodafone – Change of Post-Paid Plan – How to ?

I lodged a request to change my vodafone postpaid plan on 07/03/2016 by visiting the Vodafone Store located in my city i.e. Panipat. The i applied for gave me data benefits of upto 1 GB on 3G network of vodafone india with some other benefits in calling minutes and sms. I was told that it will take 24 hours to process will be activated by 1:30 pm next day i.e. 08/03/2016. At 12:48 pm on 08/03/2016 i received a text message in the form of SMS from vodafone care that my request has been processed and my plan has been activated. But when i called the customer care on 198 they disagreed with the sms and told me that you need to wait till 1:30 pm at least for the plan to be activated. I called the care executives again on same no after the above listed time and at that time once an executive straightforward said that plan will not be activated while a second one told me to wait for midnight as it may be activated by 12:00 am in the night.

This is clearly a violation of my rights as a consumer and a very clean example of denial of service. Had i started using 3G data services after receiving the sms of confirmation vodafone india would have charged me a hefty bill by saying that i had no allotted usage on that network. This is a very devious method of extracting money from customers and surely falls under unfair business practices too.

I want strict action taken against Vodafone India by the authorities of Union of India along with a written apology from the authorized persons at Vodafone India. Along with all this i demand my services to be allotted along with a minimum redressal amount of 50,000 INR.
