Vodafone – GPRS/mobile internet plan change

Vodafone chose to remove a GPRS tariff available with them 2GB 2G data @ Rs.99 per month and bring in other data packs, and they themselves decided that my connections should be moved to the highest pack which is 2GB 2G unlimited data @ Rs.199 per month. I have not been provided any intimation, though Vodafone claims that I have been sent SMSes to all the 3 connections registered with them and availing the data service. Despite me confirming to them that neither of the 3 numbers had received any SMS with the intimation to have the tariff plan increased in the following billing cycle. Vodafone is unable to prove to me that the SMS was delivered to any of my cellphone numbers, however just keep claiming that they had sent the SMS from their end, which does not solve the purpose of intimation. Moreover, if they chose to move away from the existing tariff plan, looking at my monthly usage in the last 1yr or so, I would have expected them to put me into their lowest plan, since my data usage is hardly over 200-300MB per month for each of the 3 connections I hold. I feel cheated by this act of the service provider and reaching out for help, since the service provider is neither willing to provide a waiver for the charges levied without prior intimation/consent, nor are they willing to accept that the SMS they claim to have been sent were never delivered to me.

Not only should the cost be waived for last and current billing cycles, I look to be compensated for mental agony and stress given by the service provider.
