Vodafone Misleading and false information when selling the data plan

This is in reference to the Data Plan I have subscribed from Vodafone with the No. 9833780807. When I opted for this plan, I was told that this is a Rs 750/- per month plan which gives 3G data services and is free for the first 4GB. This plan was offered to me at a discounted rate of Rs 2600/- for 6 months which included the datacard charges and the monthly subscription for 6 months. Since I had taken this plan in the mid of August 2012, I was told that I would have to pay the difference of the usage for that month and later to that, for the next 6 months, if the usage does not exceed 4GB, there will be no further charges. After the first month, I settled the charges for the first 15 days usage in August 2012. But I continued getting bills every month as per Rs 750/- per month. When I enquired with Customer service, they had no clue about the 6 month plan or the payment of Rs 2600/- made by me. I was curtly told to approach Vodafone Care center. I approached Vodafone Care center in Thakur Village, Kandivali East, Mumbai and explained the situation to the customer sales representatives. They informed me that the plan had been cancelled by Vodafone and the person who had offered the plan had left. After a lot of discussion regarding the payment of the outstanding bill, I was finally told that my payment of Rs 2600/- will be adjusted against the outstanding bill of about Rs 2000/- and I will not have to pay anything. I was also told that the remaining amount will be sent by cheque at my billing address. I was offered to take up a 2GB plan at Rs 450/- per month. Which I politely refused and requested them to terminate my subscription as I was absolutely disappointed with the service. After agreeing to terminate my data plan subscription, when I requested for a printed acknowledgement, I was bluntly refused. After repeated requests, the sales rep finally jotted down the reference no. on a piece of paper. Day before yesterday, on the 5th of January 2013, I received a call from the Customer Sales Rep from Vodafone, again for the outstanding bill payment.

Even after explaining the situation to her, she continued insisting on me paying the bill and visiting the Vodafone store. When I told her that I have already done that and I have requested the Vodafone Store in Thakur Village to terminate my subscription, she said I should visit some “OTHER” store. She also informed me that my subscription is not terminated as per her records. She also provided some completely different details abou the plan; like, the Rs 2600/- paid by me are only for the DataCard and not for the monthly subscription. (Why would I take a data plan where a Data Card costs Rs 2600/- when there are so many other cheap options available in the market? She did not have any answer to that.) According to her, my plan was Rs 750/- per month. So, the Rs 2600/- will not be adjusted against my outstanding bill. I will have to pay the outstanding bill
