dear Sir / Madam, I had sent to M/s. Whirlpool of India Ltd. the following e-mail on 05/05/2014, which fully explains my grievance. I had also sent the following e-mail content through their website http://www.whirlpoolindia.com/contactus on 05/05/2014. I have not received any reply or corrective steps till date from Whirlpool. ===QUOTE=== Dear Sir / Madam, We were surprised to learn that the Service Request no. KL0414006449 was closed even though – 1) My washing machine problem was not rectified. 2) I did not give the Customer Satisfaction Code to your engineer. Due to above closure, I had to place one more Service Request No. KL0514002530 today. The customer satisfaction code was not given to your Engineer due to the following reasons – I had lodged a complaint with you with Service Request no. KL0414006449 dated 11/04/2014 after once again observing oil marks/stains in our washed clothes. Our Washing Machine has always been under AMC and the current AMC is valid up to 23/09/2014. Please find attached copy of the service request. Your person Mr. Partha Kole visited us promptly on the same day. Hearing our complaint, checking the oil stained clothes & the machine and thereafter speaking to his office superiors over phone decided that the Drive Assembly needs change. Please refer attached copy of the service request. You may notice from your records that the drive assembly was replaced sometime around October / November 2013 by your Works Engineer. This time also, the same Works Engineer visited us saying that the drive assembly cannot be spoiled is such short time. He was adamant and refused to believe even after the stained clothes with oil marks were shown to him. He rubbished the observation of Mr. Kole and his superiors. He was so adamant that he did not even bother to carry a fresh Drive Assembly when he visited us. He had pre-planned not to change the drive assembly. We do not know whether he is afraid that the drive assembly may have got spoiled & spilling oil due to his poor workmanship and be answerable to whosoever. Your engineers in the previous instance had informed that oil stains can only occur due to leakage of the Drive Assembly lubricant. Now trying to save himself, he with his superior Mr. Pal have got together saying that they need to run the machine with some load to find out whether the oil leakage is from the Drive Assembly. Frankly, we do not know when the oil leakage takes place. In case there is no oil leakage in their presence – then what happens ? Will you take the responsibility of replacing our stained clothes ? Frankly, we are facing problem with the machine as it has spoiled/stained several of our good clothes due to oil leakage. Now we are afraid that more of our clothes will get stained. These stains cannot be removed. Further, please note that we do not have so much time so-as-to allow your service engineers to visit us every second day and spend 2 hours on
I request following relief/compensation – a) Rs. 4,100 – Refund of AMC amount for period from 23/9/2013 to 23/9/2014 b) Rs. 15,000 for spoiled clothes, linen etc. and for harassment. c) Rs. 20,000 for purchasing a new washing machine. Total compensation Rs. 39,100/=.
