Airtel 3G Unauthorized Activation + Bill Shock – Caution Advisory

Hi Airtel Team –
This is in regards to the mobile no 9867XXX312 which is registered under my name for which u have send me the bill of Rs 4505 for the month of 10th jan to 11th feb 2015 that was wrongly billed. I am in the montly rental plan of Rs 199
which includes 1gb of 2g data, however 3g was activated on my no on 26th jan and a prodata charge of rs 80 was included on my bill. I called on 31st jan and canceled the plan and went back to the 2g plan.

After recieveing the msg that i have crossed my credit limit i called customer care and asked them for the bifurcation of my usage no one was able to answer me and asked me to call back as the bill was not generated. I almost called 10
times to know the bifurcation but always gets a same reply to call back either the bill doesnt have discounts deducted or bill is not generated yet.

On 12th of feb i visited ur gallery to know the status of my bill they asked me to come tomorrow as the bill did not get generated, the same happend with me the other day which is on 13th feb.

Today 14th feb i visited branched and asked them the bill details they are saying i have used extra 0.7 gb of data in 2g speed. That means i have totally used 1.7 gb of data (including my 1gb of data of my montly rental ) at 2g speed in a month which is likely impossible as the speed provided by airtel in 2g is really pathetic and half of the month there is some or the other issues with internet server as informed by me by the agents in the customer care helpline (u can refer to your system notes as to how many times i have called customer care to raise a complain about the internet or network connection).

I raised a complaint about the wrong bill of Rs 4505 today at lokhandwala gallery and get a revert stating the amount of the bill is proper and nothing can be done, i have to pay complete amount without investigating the entire issue (as the complaint was raised at 4 pm and got a message around 6:30 about the complaint is closed)

According to me i havent used 1.7 gb of the data in the last month as the speed you provide in 2g is not sufficient enough to do.

I request you to either check your data base correctly and levy the charges or else cancel my connection from ur end so that i can use the same no in other service provider.

According to my usage i have no issues paying my montly rental of Rs 199, caller tune chargers Rs 30, prodata charges for 3g Rs 80 and applicable tax on that and additional call or sms charges if any.

I dispute the incorrect internet usage charges of Rs 4000 approx for extra 0.7 gb according to you.

The montly rental plan for 1gb of 2g is Rs 129 which is included on ur website but i still dont have any idea why you have charged me more than Rs 4000 for extra 0.7 gb.

NOTE : my outgoing service should not be barred untill the issue is resolved or the service provider is changed if that is the only option left.
