Airtel Broadband Levied Charges Unilaterally

I’d like to bring to your notice that the charges of Rs 200 Levied are Unacceptable.

I had Paid My Airtel LandLine Bill along with Mobile Bill on 12-07-2014. The Airtel relationship Center on T B Road, near Court Circle Hubli, Karnataka said that they will not give any receipt for Bills Paid by Cheque. Hence I took a Photograph of the Cheques, which I am attaching with this e-mail. [See Airtel_Bill_Cheques.png]

Cheque Number 130 for Rs 1291.02 was for Airtel LandLine Bill
Cheque Number 131 for Rs 311.26 was for Airtel Mobile Bill

On the 16th of July 2014, Airtel Mobile Cheque was Cleared. [See attachment – hdfc_bank_screen_shot.png]

Meanwhile I had started getting calls from Airtel to Pay the Landline Bill or Face Disconnection. I then went to Airtel Office Located in IT Park, Near Glass House, Hubli and showed them the photographs of the cheque and also told that Airtel Mobile cheque was cleared but Landline cheque had not. They made me wait for whole 30 minutes and then told that they have misplaced the cheque Number 130 and asked me to Pay again and put stop payment on the misplaced cheque [i.e 130]. In good faith I issued a new Cheque bearing number 138 for which Airtel issued a receipt [See Attachment – Airtel_Receipt.png]

Prima Facie, I have done whatever Airtel Executives / Dealers have told. I have also Paid all my Bills on Time as a Good Customer. Now it is totally unfair to levy Rs 200 charges for Fault in Airtel’s Business Process and all the pain and trouble I had to undergo running from once place to another.

I demand that Rs 200 as Cheque Bounce Charges Levied on my Account be Reversed immediately, failing which, I’ll go for a Higher appeal with Consumer Court of India.

Aggrieved Customer,
Chetan
