Airtel Mobile Connection Dropping + Refund an Eyewash

Hello,

Have you lately noticed that Airtel Mobile Connection Drops so frequently ? I have no idea on what’s going on but my friends complain that quality of my speech is poor when i am talking on long distance.

Secondly, i observed this. State of Karnataka doesn’t even have Power and they have unscheduled load shedding making Bangalore an IT Village in Chaos. Now, if I am talking over the phone and the power in the vicinity is shut-off by the BESCOM or KPTCL, then Airtel mobile connection drops. What is happening is the company’s towers are unable to switch to backup power supply.

I complained the issue of call drop to Airtel and they told me that the company will give a refund if i call the same number within a minute of the call being dropped. This started happening again and again and when i demanded for refund the next call center executive said their was no such policy of refund but they told they will inform the network guys.

    I really thought someone was fingering around with my electricity & mobile conneciton till I read this post! 😀

    I have faced the same issue and I cant but agree with your views.. Customer care, of course, for the past one week has gone mute and answers only throught heir IVR. You are told to send your query as an sms and it will be resolved in 24 hours; all I can say is that their 24 hrs is yet to complete after one earthly week! They must be operating out of mars or jupiter for sure.

This Problem would be faced by almost all the Suscribers of Cellphone cause the Technology What They use is VOIP based you may also ask person you are calling if your number gets displayed there or not . if not it means the call has been routed from VOIP which is not Right way of doing it . Specially if the Calls gets disconnected in 1hours time it definatly means that service provider is trying to manipulate the rules just to earn big bucks . please complain to the consumer Rights and TRAI if you notice this .
