Airtel Mobile Excess Billing

I am Jenamani Saswata Kishore, an airtel subscriber bearing mobile no. 9833308643. I want to bring following few lines for your attention. On 12th Oct 2012 I called up the Customer care and enquired about blackberry plans & requested to activate the blackberry Rs 2499/- 6 months plan. But due to certain problems I never was able to use neither a blackberry nor the service. Even you can trace from my records that I never used the service. on 21st October I called up the costumer care. and asked them to deactivate the service as I’m unable to use that. when I asked them for the charges, I was told that I will be charged prorata basis from 12th to 21st. For that reason I confirmed to de- activate the services. Now on my bill dated 24th oct 2012 , I noticed that I was charged Rs 2499/- against the blackberry services. I called their customer service several times. but didn’t get a positive response. before a week while speaking to one of the customer care representative, I got a chance to speak to one of the supervisors.

As per him I am forced to pay those charges. I asked him whether I can get the service for 6 months against payment of the same, but he denied and told me If I have to use the service again, I have to pay 2499/- again apart from this Rs 2499/-. As per him when I deactivated the service , their representative told me charges about 3G internet use. and thats a part of telemarketing. They didnt speak about pro rata charges for blackberry services. As I have deactivated the services in 9 days, for that 9 days I have to pay the charge for 6 months. Even I visited their borivali customer care centre. And to my disbelief , they are very rude and not customer friendly… Now tell me sir, How can I pay for something which is meant for 6 months without even using it?. Even they are not ready to give me the same services against payment of the same .Air tel has also barred my outgoing services.

i) I haven’t used the service. Hence they have to reverse the charges. ii) If they say that , the package was purchased by me and I hv to pay for it, then they should activate the service, I am paying for.
