I am sunil sangtani, having an Airtel’s pre-paid connection from rajasthan (09602722212 is my number).
The reason to writing you that the airtel’s customer care and appellate weren’t able to solve the complaint infact, they completely deny to accept the faults.
On morning of 30th January, 2015, i was setting up my formatted iphone, I connected my iphone to the wifi network and started downloading the needful applications. I really don’t know when it got shifted to 3g and started the heavy
downloadings. My concern is not that I don’t have used data and got charged, rather, my concern and complaint is that company should have right policy to handle such situations.
They should have stopped when the free data limit was exhorted since 3g charges without free usage are extremely higher and it’s a heavy lost for a customer’s valued money. Instead of informing me to the right time, I got the notification that my free usages are expired when my phone had used already aprox 777 mb.
Now may I please know, what is the use of sending the notification then? Is company want to side them self that they had informed the customer, on the same time they want to charge the customer as much as they can?
Airtel replied, “we cannot send the notification till your phone does not stops using the data”. On witch when I asked them, when my account got charged in fazes like, 45, 55, etc, why it didn’t happened? Why I was not informed?
Of witch they didn’t had any response. I kindly request you to please look in the matter and help me to get
my money refund because if I would got the information on the right time, I would surely have stopped downloading or would have bought a datapack. Just think, if I would have 1gb 3g data pack, it would have cost me rs 255. But just because of company’s indirect cheeting, I payed around 800.
A customer never maintains higher balance so that company can do with there account whatever they finds correct to do, rather, a customer maintain such balance for there needs and convenient. I kindly request you to look in the matter and please do the needful as my concern is 100% genuine.
