Airtel Pre-Paid Mobile Deduction – Review

On 13/05/2014 I made a recharge of Rs. 1000/- which was deducted on 19/05/2014 and balance was nil. I was informed initially that these are internet charges which are correctly debited. Based on discussion with Dinesh and Yogesh, I understand that a. My Rs 125 – 1 gb plan which was supposed to be renewed was not renewed for reasons best know to Airtel. This is done every month – Airtel can confirm this. It is Airtels failure if they did not apply the plan I requested. b. Instead of the plan, Airtel pushed a per MB data plan unilaterally without my consent. Nor was I even informed about it. c. Airtel has failed to pay heed to my complaints. Emails were responded by stating that balance is correctly deducted. Call backs from your superiors promised by your representative Dinesh and Yogesh did not happen. I am still awaiting the calls. d. Airtel have stated that the balance is correctly charged but refuses to provide breakdown of data downloads and computation. I have repeatedly asked for computation of these charges which you have denied for reasons best know to Airtel. I dispute the erroneous charges levied by Airtel and request for reinstatement of balance.

Given the low balance I was unable to make calls – I am a doctor and a girl and need phone to speak to my patients and family. This is mental harassment – as I am unable to reach my patients and my family.

I demand Reinstatement of balance, compensation for harassment.
