Every time I make an outgoing call from my Airtel mobile to any other mobile/landline, I hear a compulsory voice advertisement in Telugu from Airtel before the call is connected to the other number. The advertisement is for about 15 to 20 seconds and talks about various airtel deals & offers. There is no way that I can skip the advertisement. Only after the advertisement finishes, the phone starts ringing at the other end. This is a BIG harassment by Airtel as even in case of emergency, I will have to wait for the advertisement to finish. I called Airtel customer care many times to report this but the customer care representatives are uneducated and inefficient and do not help. They put on long holds and the call gets disconnected meanwhile.

This is a great inconvenience. Even when it is an emergency and I have to call someone urgently, I need to wait for that 20 seconds long advertisement to finish before the phone starts ringing at the other end. Lets suppose I am stuck in a serious problem and need to call police/ambulance or any other help urgently, I will have to go through this compulsory ad before my call gets connected. I cannot understand how Airtel can cause such a big inconvenience to its customers. If I am stuck in a problem and want to call someone urgently, and something serious happens by the time this ad finishes and the number gets connected, will airtel take the responsibility?
