Amazon India – Why So Delay in Shipping ?

Hello On Friday 12 Dec 2014, I placed an order for Toshiba laptop on Amazon India. This had a 10% cash back if paid by HDFC debit card. When I tried paying by my debit card, due to network issues I was unable to enter the OTP on time hence it expired. Amazon sent me an email about the declined transaction and requested me to Revise payment. At around 8:45 PM the same day, I revised the payment again and was successful in completing the transaction from my end. There was no email sent from Amazon about the transaction, hence I assumed that it was complete. On Saturday I verified my order status and found that it was pending payment. Hence I contacted Amazon India Customer Service and they requested me to make the payment as the initial payment was declined. During the same conversation I inquired if cash back would be still applied and I got a positive response on the same. Also I was told that I would be allowed 2 days from the first transaction to complete the payment. Unfortunately after an hour, the order was cancelled by Amazon. After inquiring I found that I needed to pay the same day, and hence incorrect information was provided to me in the first conversation. Also Amazon failed to send me any email on Friday about the transaction after the initial email. This basically led to lot of conversation with Amazon ( please refer attached supporting documents ), but Amazon did not honor the promise of the cash back.
