Aquaguard – AMC Service Not Provided

That on 10th August 2013 , the complainant deposited a sum of Rs 1500/- vide Cheque No 796052 (Punjab National Bank) against the servicing of My Aquaguard(Nova Gold) for a period of 1 year i.e. From 10 August 2013 to 9 August 2014 That the Company has committed the Quarterly Maintenance service & Replacement of Candles & carbons but failed to provide the service. Under the service it has to change Candel & six carbon after every four month Nov 13, Feb 14 & Aug 14 upto 9 Aug 2014. For which company was paid Rs. 1500/- in advance through Cheque. But instead of Three only once the service is provided. Many times the Company assured to send their Representative but no one turned out. That the non-compliance of the commitment till the Time maturity period by the Opposite Party, on the scheduled time, amounts to deficiency in service as defined under sec. 2(1)(g) of the Consumer Protection Act.

(a) Refund the Maintenance charge of the, Rs 1500/-, along with 10 % interest ; (b) pay a sum of Rs. 10,000/- towards the physical strain and mental agony suffered by the complainant and his family members (compensation) ; and (c) Registration of the Service centre should be suspended
