Bajaj Allianz – Not Honoring Extended Warranty on LED TV

I had bought LG-LED TV model No: 47LN6710 FHDS in Bengaluru with an extended warranty from Bajaj Allianz for two years vide Policy Number OG15-1000 6609 00033918 issued on 29th May 2014 which will come in to effect for risk cover from 29th May 2016 for next two years. Thus my TV is well within warranty period. Suddenly there is a display problem in my TV and I had called on 11th June 2016 to the customer care toll free no. 1800-209- 1021, they registered the complaint and given a claim no. – OC171701660900000070. TV was taken by one Mr. Ravi Mutalik on 14-06-2016 to service centre for repair with a promise that TV will be returned after rectifying the defect in 10 days time. When it was not returned within a specified period I called Mr. Ravi Mutalik several times to know the status but there was no response from him. Then I called the customer care centre again, they said that it will be taken on high priority basis and that their engineers will reach soon. They gave me the telephone numbers of Mr.Lakshman Kumar.

When I called him he and Mr.Andrew promised that it will be rectified and returned soon. In the mean time, I sent a mail expressing my grievances to ew.cda@bajajallianz.co.in which is provided in the policy certificate. So far there is no replay from them. Daily I am repeating the process of calling these three persons, probably they have noted my number, they are not even receiving my call. I have tried all means and it has been already one month(30 days), but nothing has happened yet. This is totally unacceptable and it is the worst experience I had with any service support team so far. Myself and my wife are senior citizens and now we are deprived of any entertainment without TV for more than one month. We lost an opportunity to watch some of the important events such as Royal wedding of Mysore Maharaja, India vs Zimbabwe Cricket series, European foot ball tournament, Wimbledon tennis etc; in addition to day to day happenings in India and abroad. I feel that when there is no response for the mail of the customer your company should remove your e-mail ID from your policy certificate and also fix the responsibility to the concerned irresponsible officers who have miserably failed to provide satisfactory services to the aggrieved customers.

Kindly instruct the concerned officials of your company to return my TV with due repair and good working conditions within three days from the date of this mail, failing which I am forced to register a complaint with consumer Forum holding your company responsible for deficiency and non-satisfactory services claiming my TV with compensation and damages which may please be noted..
