I have been using Broadband services Plan Dataone Home Combo 600 which entitles me to free night usage from 2 AM to 8 AM. Accordingly I have used this night unlimited facility in the month of July 2014 when suddenly I received an email from BSNL on 7.7.14 saying that my night unlimited facility has been withdrawn w.e.f 1st July 2014. I immediately stopped using the night unlimited facility and changed my plan on 9.7.14 and submitted an application to the Divisional Engineer Internal at Jadavpur to be allowed the appropriate free usage till 7th of July. Inspite of their assurance I have received an inflated bill where my entire night usage has been billed for the month of July. Even I have checked the portal in the initial part of July which clearly showed my usage excluding the night usage to be in the stipulated quota. How can consumers be made to suffer for implementation of change of tariff at a date prior to the official announcement of the change? We have only been informed on 7th of July and the tariff change has been made effective from 1st of July. This is cheating in broad daylight..
I want financial compensation for this over-billing for no fault of ours.
