I had got my Air India tickets to Seoul, South Korea booked by this travel agent alongwith VISA. For this i was charged a total amount of Rs. 64101/-(Rs. 60601/- for tickets and 3500/- for VISA service charges). VISA fee of Rs. 2400/- was separately paid alongwith the application. After my travel I came to know that Air India had received a total amount of Rs. 56545/-only for this ticket. I have an official advice of Air India. This implies that agent had concealed the extra amount of Rs. 4056/- and got my consent. Moreover on detail analysis, I found out that agent had tampered the e-ticket and increased the fuel charges which amounts to cheating the customer.
It was a monetary loss of Rs. 4056/- but more than that agent do not have the rights to tamper charges/fees of airlines and portray to the customer that this is the best deal they can offer. They should have mentioned exact ticket amount and on that should have explicitly specified their booking charges.convenience fee etc. Not doing this tantamount to concealment of information and it has caused mental agony to me as i approached them to refund the amount but in vain. I want the refund in addition to penalty to the agent for cheating me and may be many more like me.
