I was cheated by an optician. visit 1 I approached chopra optician ,with my doctors prescription and asked him to make a progressive glasses. He checked for the no: with his own machines and noted someother no: and insisted his number was more correct. I requested pl check and verify from the no given by doctors prescription.but he retorted he was confidant. visit 2. He asked me to come after few days. The spectacle was made and when i wore the specs I could see double vision and difficulty in reading.. I requested something is seriously wrong. Please check. I said madam, this is new no: you will take few times for adjustment. But I was damn sure and requested to recheck. He agreed may be there is problem in centering . and said he would get it tested again. but never checked for centering. days. visit 3. I went back again wherein his brother checked for centering which infact should have been done on the visit 2 itself. visit 4. his brother checked and said he would get the glases centred again and do the needful Visit 5. Finally my revised no came with centering. But I was again not satisfied. I could find floor uneven and nearly had a fall. . I asked him to check no: with the help of his reading board. there was double vision everywhere. but he relented, said the number is perfect and it is adjustment problem. I was disappointed and frustrated and even after spending 6100/- Rs , I was more comfortable with my old specs Visit 6. I went to my old optician in karol bagh and showed him doctors no: and the spectacle made by chopra. He categorically pointed out he had given me a wrong no:.and that the number originally given by doctor was fine. He advised me not to use the no: given by previous one as I could fall because the angle was different. I verified the fact from my doctor by paying consultation fee again. Since I am Professor in a research organization and having proper vision ,is important for me , I ordered for new glass . I paid Rs 3300 for a single glass and took that slip back to Chopra optician that very moment, the same day Visit 7 when I showed chopra optician the slip of Rs 3300 he was baffled, He immediately understood that there was something seriuosly wrong, that is why she has gone to another optician for new glass. I showed him the payment slip of Rs 3300/. He was caught red handed and offered to rectify his mistake. He said he will make new glass for me. Visit 8 to my old optician at karol bagh : my new no arrived and he checked for centering and asked me to wait for 20 minutes and after this my life was different. I was happy and got my good vision back Visit 9. meanwhile after few days, chopra optician called me again and asked me to come again as he wanted to check centering and put the glass in the frame. I refused and said I am not ready to get any centering checked from him and he can simply return my frame and the unfitted glass as such. I had completely lost faith in h
