Dear sir I booked one hotel room through Cleartrip on 16.6.13 for 4 nights from 01.07.13 to 05.07.13 at HOTEL SUHIM PORTICO GANGTOK, and paid the whole amount of Rs 20239 through my SBI debit card with transaction no 316710734697. Just prior to my journey the UTTARAKHAND CLOUD BURST happened and also in ASSAM TRIBUNE news paper there were articles with weather forecast of severe storm and warnings against travelling to gangtok. I contacted the Suhim Portico reception on 28.06.13 and the hotel guy confirmed my booking but said if i cancel the booking , the refund will have to be claimed from my agent ( CLEARTRIP), HE also said that it was raining heavily and it was not the right time to visit gangtok.Immediately i tried to call the cleartrip office but couldnot get the line, so i cancelled my booking on 28.06.13 which was acknowledged by cleartrip. After that i have contacted cleartrip authorities on various occasions and asked them to refund my booking amount as i have not availed the service. i also told them that during that time i became nervous to travel to gangtok with my family as there was every likelihood of a natural calamity.

Total refund of my booking amount (20239) with interest and an appology letter.
