I purchased Sony Bravia LED television (Model no. 43W800C) from Kaveri electronics on 15/01/2016. Since my purchase the TV constantly is giving problems (problem in swtich on) and I called customer care(CC) for support. On my first interaction with them, I followed all the steps told by the CC to rectify the issue but it didn’t work. Finally one Mr. Kumar from Vighneshwar Services visited several times in the month of June but he still couldn’t fix the issue and suggested to bring the TV to service center. On 4/07/2016 I submitted the TV to them (proof attached). Since then the TV is with them and we called several times to Mr. Kumar and every time he gave some same excuse that software is to be received from Delhi and it would take more than 10 days. On 28/06/2016 we called again and Mr. Kumar said that TV is ready, so we went to pick up the TV but people had left for the day. We tried calling Branch manager several times, but he didn’t pickup the call. Next morning we called the Branch manager again, he said that our problem is fixed but a new problem started to come (the sound was not coming properly) and he also said that he can’t provide a exact date on which the TV will be fully repaired. Next we mailed SONY customer care (mail reference attached) and we got a call from Regional office they said that we would check with service center and call back. This conversation happened 02/08/2016. Till date there is no response from SONY India. Its been almost 40 days we don’t have a TV in our house. Since its a manufacturing defect we asked for a replacement as the problem could arise later as well. They said that its not in their company policy to provide a replacement. This is a clear violation of consumer rights as the TV we purchased was faulty from the day one. We request you to take a strong disciplinary action and provide a resolution to our complaint.
