HDFC Bank Gift Card – Customer Review

I raised a request of gift plus card of amount 2000 INR through HDFC Bank netbanking on 16th of Jan,2015. There was a mistake in beneficiary address. Beneficiary name was Urmi Bhattacharya,my friend. and address was mine. So, I didnt received the card on time. I called customer care,asked to cancel the request, but they refused to do so.At first they refused to tell me the status of delivery of card also. After many calls and visiting local HDFC branch many times and sending a mail to HDFC bank support team,They said they will cancel but it will take 1 month. On 10th Feb I received a mail,that the card is delivered on my address, but neither me nor someone from my family received the card. A lady from Chetla,kolkata called my friend and asked her to get the card from there. I just want to cancel the request and get my money back.

I had to visit HDFC local branch many times, called HDFC bank customer care on the no 03361606161 a dozen times. had to mail support@hdfcbank.com through netbanking. Total economic damage incurred is around 500INR

I want to cancel the request of Gift Plus Card. Get my money back i.e 2000INR. I demand compensation of 500INR for the call charges,and travel cost I had to incur due to their negligence.
