The Policy taking was not the purpose. We signed the documents on the commitment from the Insurance agent that we would be given the loan by mortgaging the policy documents. I strongly believe that HDFC Life is also involved with the Insurance Brokers and agents to see the policies using unethical means. I signed the insurance documents as well as the loan documents and so I did not have any doubt regarding the fraud. I have been mentally harassed because of this and I need my money back. This is a gross misconduct on the part of HDFC Life. I have all the call records and the mails from the agents asking for the loan and insurance documents which can be submitted on demand. I also have the complaint numbers of the complaints registered with HDFC Life (01000000292173) and IRDA (01-15-014195) but I did not get any reasonable response from them. I am feeling cheated and I want my money back.

I lost my money which I had taken from my friend to pay the Insurance amount for getting a loan of Rs.4.0 lakhs. I have been mentally harassed to a large extent because of which I got ill and was on medication. A lot of mental pressure. My only fault was to trust HDFC and I got a very bitter experience with HDFC on this.
