Dear Sir, I have been buying insurance policies from ICICI lombard for my mother (policy number 4034i/FFH/W-226351/05/000), and have renewed the same over the last 4 years. Though they have been consistantly increasing the premium every year, this year they have increased the premium 2.5 times, citing the reason that they have discontinued the old product as it was not meeting IRDA norms and the new policy will cost me over 21,000/- whereas I was only paying 8,000/- previously. I have contacted their customer support and grievance cell but they are not ready to listen to my request. The policy is taken for my mother aged 57 years and have accumulated coverage of existing illness on this policy. Request your intervention to restore an acceptable premium, and advice ICICI not to resort to unfair practices. Enclosed: Notice from ICICI. Regards, Gopakumar Panicker
