Express 14.25 – Rs 1107.47 Travelled Name of passengers: (a) Dr AKS Thakur, 60 years, and (b) Mrs Mukul Thakur, 57 years 2. When we missed the connecting train despite the fact that there was 55 minutes for the changeover on the same station, due to 2.25 hours late arrival of the first train. 3. We tried to contact Customer Care Centre but the phone was out of order. Even at the time of filing TDR on 23rd June 2014 phone was not working. 4. On reaching New Delhi we hired a AC Taxi from New Delhi Railway Station for Mathura at a cost of Rs 11,000.00 5. On reaching back on 22nd June 2014 night, I filed TDR stating that passenger not travelled; there are many options but option for missing train due late arrival is not present. 6. TDR is also rejected saying that time was over. From above facts it can be seen that I filed the TDR on the first opportunity. 7. This is deficiency in services provided by Railway to Senior Citizen which caused tremendous mental agony, harassment and excessive expenditure on various counts. There were no obvious reasons for this delay like breakdown, riots, etc.

We may be compensated for following: (a) Ticket Cost – Rs 1,207.47 (b) Porter Charges – Rs 250.00 (c) Taxi Charges – Rs 11,000.00 (d) Mental Agony, Harassment, etc.- Rs 50,000.00 (Rs 25,000.00 for each passenger) – Total – Rs 62,457.47 (Rupees Sixty Two Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Seven and paise Forty Seven)
