KTC Volkswagen – Customer Care

I am residing at Cochin, Near to EVM Volkswagen but I approached KTC Volkswagen 12 kms away only because of my friends recommendation. I was happy with the booking process of Volkswagen Polo Highline petrol by KTC- Sales Team Mr. Davis and Mr. Joseph and I paid full amount 3 days prior of my promised delivery date. I decided to take delivery on 23rd February 11am which is an auspicious time for my family. On 22nd evening I received a call from KTC that while doing PDI Airbag Warning Lamp is continuously ON and they need to consult with Volkswagen Service Team. As Volkswagen is not working on Sunday they requested to change my delivery time to 2 pm and they said it’s a minor error which can be rectified easily. I agreed and told them to update the status of my vehicle. On 23rd around 1 pm, I received a call from KTC that they can’t rectify the problem with the Airbag and ABS, they cannot deliver the vehicle. Finally I contacted Mr. RAJAGOPAL- Sales Manager of KTC VOLKSWAGEN ERNAKULAM and asked about my vehicle status. He promised me that he will update the status after 30 minutes. It was very disappointment that he never contacted me and every time I called him he repeated the same words “sir I will call you back in 5 minutes”. Is this the way that a sales manager of one of the best automobile brand should behave???????????.

Finally I went to their showroom to know the status of my vehicle. Sales manager simply told me that they can’t deliver the vehicle today as need time to rectify the problem. My whole family and friends is waiting for the car on other side. I asked them what the solution is for this. They said take the delivery now and return the car on another day and they will fix it. I don’t know how much careless your team is.They only said it’s a problem with the airbag one of the important safety equipment of a car and with this fault they said me to take the car. Is this customer service you are providing?? I said them that i will not take delivery of this car and i asked for another car. they said they have taken Temp Reg of my car and they can’t cancel it. Is this my headache??Did i ask them to take temp registration without doing proper PDI? I asked them to cancel my booking and refund the amount. Sales manager said that they can’t do anything which result in loss for the company. Is this right? Then who will bear my losses? Is this is the way Volkswagen treat their customer’s? Whenever I am calling him in his cell number some other guy from HR is answering my call. I think this is the only company where HR Manager (Mr. Jim) people is handling customer’s and sales manager is bunking from the scene. Two of my friends contacted him to know the status and he replied “I will only talk with the customer”. This is an insult to me also. Only because of friends recommendation I had gone for Volkswagen. I cancelled the order from KTC Volkswagen Ernakulam and I booked polo from another dealer in Cochin.
