Booking ID: NN230324526425 I had a scheduled flight (Delhi-Accra-Freetown) on June 14th. I received information on June 12th that my flight was cancelled from the airline. I called the MMT customer care and asked for alternate dates. However, failing to decide on any dates, I asked MMT to initiate cancellation/refund so that I can make my own arrangement. MMT asked me to wait before they can contact Ethiopian Airlines (ET, the flight carrier) to calculate refund amount. I waited for few hours and called MMT customer care again to be informed that they are trying to reach them but to no avail and that I should wait. I called MMT again on June 14th and they asked me to wait for 48 hours for disposal. When I called MMT on June 16th, I was informed that the airline (ET) had issued an alternate ticket for me and that the flight left and I was a no-show. This was surprising since I had been talking to MMT since June 12th about cancellation/refund and never got any communication (either by ET or MMT) about such development. I continued calling MMT and all I received was assurances and request to wait. I was loosing my business abroad so I made an alternate arrangement from my own resources and left India on June 17th with an assurance that I will receive communication from MMT. Till date I have received no communication. Even before filing this complaint, I spent about 65 mins with MMT on phone (international call) and was put on hold for more than 50 mins. However, even the call today ended with not being able to talk to concerned people or the supervisor.

I want MMT to refund the principal amount of the ticket, i.e. 1,18,000 in full. In additional to it, I want them to compensate for my 5 days @ 5000/day i.e. 15,000 INR. I also want them to compensate me for numerous international calls, time and emotional duress to the tune of Rs. 25000. So, in total, I am seeking damage compensation of about 1,58,000 INR from MMT failing which I plan to consult my lawers and start legal proceedings against them once I’m back in India
