My complaint is:
I got my car – Daewoo matiz insured in IFFCO-TOKYO insurance company through an insurance agent whos detail are as mentioned below:

On 1st November, 2008, Insurance agent Hanumantha Reddy took Rs.1250/- (Rs.One thousand two hundred and fifty) towards the premium and his commision and promised that he will get my car insured within 7 days and deliver the insurance policy certificate within 7 days. But on 6th November, he gave me a cover note of IFFCO-TOKYO Insurance company and he told me that I will recieve the policy certificate within 20 days from the date of cover note.
But, despite several phone calls, Hanumantha reddy did not deliver any policy certificate for 50 days. On 26th december, he gave me a policy certificate with many mistakes like spelling mistake in my name and wrong registration number of the car. Also the premium amount mentioned in the pocily is Rs.893/- where as I paid him Rs.1250/-.
After repeated follow ups he took back the original insurance policy certificate and assured me that he will rectify the mistakes and get me the corrected copy within one week’s time.
But, till date he has not been able to get the policy corrected for me leaving me in a risky situation of my car being insured with wrong details on the policy. And also, he is not responding to my phone calls.
On contacting the Insurance company, they are giving base less reasons like they do not have the proof for vehicle been transferd to my name. Where as I have submitted a copy of RC book of my car based on which they have issued a cover note and policy certificate.
Also the cover note contains the correct details, where as the original policy certificate contains the mistakes. The cover note number is: 37842874 and the Policy number is:40224302 and the policy has been issued fromI FCO-TOKYO, bangalore Branch.

I request you to take appropriate action against the insurance agent who cheated me by taking extra money and also putting me in a risk of having a wrong insurance policy, the consequenses of which may be huge to be compensated. Also the insurance company for giving the correct cover note and wrong policy certificate.
