I am a resident of Kharghuli, Guwahati and I have faced some serious attitude issues with officials of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation. We have bought this water supply connection from GMC some time back which never served us with its purpose. There was never even an ounce of water supplied through that connection though we kept on paying bills. But then we approached the GMC officials in their Chandmari office to solve this problem and they suggested that we had to get PWD permission to dig the road so that they can check the connection and also said that the whole process would cost us an enormous rupees 10000. But fortunately enough my mother was successful in getting the PWD permission by her own instead giving the GMC officials to do so and it only cost her about 200 rupees. Thence onwards, they started ignoring our requests to get ahead with the other procedure so as to begin with digging the road and to come and take a look at the connection and suggest remedial. Till date, the particular individual when called would say that he would come with his troop on Saturday and unfortunately that Saturday never occurred in their calendar.

The only relief that we want is that the officials should, without further delay, come and take a look at our connection and suggest or take necessary remedial action.
