I was called over phone from 91116655449931 by person claiming to verify my credit card and collected details thereof. He was speaking in Hindi which I do not speak, but I gave the details since my old card had expired and the new card was just received. Now I understand, that they are debiting my credit card Rs.6000 towards lifetime charge for a ‘discount card’. I understood this when they called back to verify the transaction and I asked for English. I asked immediately to cancel the any such transaction and billing. They are refusing. I tried to call SBI Credit Card helpline but they are not responding, putting my call on hold for 30 minutes.
