I tried to withdraw Rs 10000 on 9th December 2013 from a PNB ATM in Dehradun. Unfortunately the machine did not dispense the cash but the amount was deducted from my account as confirmed by the message to my mobile. Shortly after that the same amount was re-credited to my account also confirmed by a message. On 31st December 2013 I was requested over my phone to contact my home branch so as to resolve some problems with my account. I visited the branch on 1st January 2014. I was explained that I had received Rs 10000 on 9th December and mistakenly was re-credited the money, so that amount was kept at held. I asked them to give me one day to check my transactions. On 2nd January 2014 I explained the concerned officer that I had not received money from the ATM and filed an application citing my explanation. On 7th January 2014 the amount was finally deducted. I filed another application to show the proof/ video footage of the ATM to me and bring the matter to a conclusion. When I got no explanation/ reply, I filed a complaint with SBI customer care (No: CS1058011062653) and was assured that the problem would be solved. On 24th January 2014 a message was sent to my phone that my complaint has been attended to and closed after resolution. I waited for a suitable explanation and again called the customer care on 31st January 2014. I was advised to contact the branch. The officer in the branch asked me to find out the PNB branch associated with that particular ATM in question. When I told that it would prove difficult, he informed me that further investigations would not be possible. I again called the customer care and was given three phone numbers ( 0113407231, 0113407657, 0113407227) of Nodal officer for complaint solution. I have repeatedly called in these numbers but has found that they are non-functional or continuously not responding.
