I bought a mediclaim policy no 10452086 for my mother from Religare Heath Insurance in November 2015. My mother had Diabetes which we had mentioned in the policy as a pre-existing disease. On 4th July 2016 my mother was hospitalised for some brain related issues (CVA/DM). On enquiring with the Doctor who treated her, whether this problem aroused because of diabetes, he said It has nothing to do with Diabetes and He said that it can happen to anybody. But Religare rejected my claim for reimbursement stating that the problem was because of Diabetes. I tried to explain them but they simply turned a deaf ear to my requests
