Samsung Mobile Repair Denied Under Warranty

Dear Sir/Madam, I have purchased a Samsung Guru E1200 mobile for my senior citizen father on 8-Jan-2015. It was delivered to my father on 12-Jan-2015. The phone has stopped working completely from 20th of January. As it was mentioned in the product description, the phone was under 1 year manufacturer warranty. My father went to a samsung authorized service center and ask for repair under warranty but the service center denied to provide any service as the phone is from out side India and can not be provided any service under warranty in India. Then I logged a claim in eBay for return of the product. eBay has rejected that claim saying the product is covered under warranty. I called to their customer executive and they said that we need a written certificate from Samsung that the phone can not be covered under warranty. My senior citizen father again went to service center and asked for such certificate. They refused to provide any certificate by saying that we are not authorized to give anything in written. We can only confirm verbally. Now neither eBay or Samsung is ready to provide me any support and my hard earned money is wasted for poor customer care. eBay straight forward says that we can not do anything if you do not give any certificate. It’s eBay’s responsibility to check the product before selling. They can not sell bogus product and harass customer.

I want eBay to take their product back and refund my money with compensation of mental harassment to me and my father.
