Sony Xperia Mobiles – Pathetic Service Experience

Myself Jatin from India. I bought Sony Experia M4 Aqua (INR 18,000) for my younger brother on 28th Dec, 2015.

Mobile was working very good till it was under warranty period (29th Dec, 2016). He is facing problem in phone since last 02 to 03 days. His phone got switched off and while opening the phone, Sony logo appears and then it got switched off again.

Today, he went at Retailer Shop Shivam Communication, Maninagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. They advised him to visit Sony Service Center. I got service center details from your call center and asked him to go there.

First Shock: Usually, all service centers do not charge to check problem. Your executive asked me to pay INR 115 to open mobile and check problem in the phone. Even if we pay INR 115, they denied taking responsibility of damage in phone while checking.

Second Shock: I denied to pay that and just asked that what will be approx. cost to repair the same. He said it will be minimum INR 7,500.

My brother called me and I denied to give them to repair. I think if someone is spending almost INR 20,000 in a brand, he will be expecting extra ordinary service from that brand. You cannot say like that Warranty is finished and you will have to pay money. It is just one week passed till my warranty got over. You should repair it at a free of cost to show your customer dedication and to show why people should buy your products.

If I don’t get any resolution of this within 48 hours, I will not repair it and I assure you that no Sony phones will be sold through my friends, family members and colleagues. I will post it on Social Websites and spread it whatever I can at my level. Unfortunately, I will have to take necessary steps even though I don’t want. I just want my problem to be solved.
