Reference is made to the receipt of the below item with reference to order no. 20140308060139 dated 08/03/2014 placed through call after watching the TV advertisement. Although the caller can hear the ring but the tablet user does not receive any call as it doesn’t ring at his end. Same is the issue with messenger when the user taps over the symbol it opens but can’t write or view any smses. This problem occurs with the calling function also wherein the user types the no. and the no. disappears and the call could not be made. Also when the user taps over a call / phone no. it leads to nowhere and hangs. As this problem was first noticed we called the Starcj no. provided over the packaging box and in turn we were diverted to contact and lodge a complaint with the manufacturer of the product, i.e. DATAWIND. We did so, complaint Ticket No.: 0315KT3362 (attaching the complaint and correspondence for your reference). But as informed by the Datawind the 2 addresses provided for submitting the device for service, upon contacting them it was informed to us that they (Jaynagar service center) no longer undertakes the said service and also one of the address in Yelahanka is not valid. We contacted upon phone yesterday the Datawind company and they are not able to provide us with any resolution to the problem. To this I request you to kindly look into this and arrange to replace or refund the amount since the tablet is of no use with the above defects.
