Tata sky recently took an initiative of changing all the MPEG 2 set top box to MPEG 4. IT is to be done for better picture quality.Also it is mandatory for consumers to get mpeg2 box changed. For this , they send a technician to each household and the technician exchanges the box. For this process , the consumer have to give a missed call on a specific number provided by the service provider. And the problem I am facing is – I have called that number 5 to 6 times but there is no response from the service provider. The problem is that the service provider is barring the tv channels on mpeg 2 boxes. We are facing a lot of trouble due to this.
I am facing economic damages. I paid for 12 months subscription in advance but due to above mentioned circumstances , my set top box is not receiving signals of my favorite TV Channels . It keeps baring them. Most of my fav channels like sab tv , etv rajasthan etc are bared because of the above mentioned change in technology. I tried talking to regional tata sky customer care and all they said was ” WE will change your box today” , but nothing happened . I tried calling their helpline nos. but i got no response from their side. The last date of changing set top box free of cost is 15th june but i am trying since 15th may but no satisfactory answer has been received from the service provider. They are forcibly blocking channels and it is costing me my advanced paid subscription. Also, they are delaying the process so that they can charge for changing set top box after 15th june as it is free till 15th only.
