My Toyota Etios-GD sedan (VIN No. MBJB4ZBT700045390 & regn. no. DL1CP 4081) was taken delivery from DEALER- Grace Toyota, Saket, New Delhi on 26.12.2012. On visit to service center for first free service on 16.01.2013, the manager informed that the first free service of the vehicle should be completed in one months time and the date of delivery of the vehicle was 29.11.2012. After showing him the original delivery invoice and delivery note (copy attached) reflecting 26.12.2012 as delivery date and after much pain staking effort, he accepted for servicing. He also communicated to rectify this through the dealer. I had requested the dealer to rectify this so many times without any positive reply. Instead they offered to provide a written certificate from the dealer, which may cover the full warranty, but only restricted with the dealer’s servicing. In this regard, i have also sent a written complaint to the dealer’s MD & Sales GM by registered post too, for which no action has been taken since. Since this is major issue of delivery date which has much consequences, i then requested M/s Toyota Kirloskar to look in to the matter urgently and sort out the delivery date discrepancy. But to my surprise they registered the complaint and again told the dealer to satisfy the customer. The dealer again offered their limited & restricted warranty instead of rectifying the original date of delivery of the vehicle to customer. After repeated followup with Toyota customer grievance cell, found out that they have closed the complaint saying me to contact the dealer.
Since this is a major discrepancy which has connections with legality of sales date, warranty etc. the fraud behind needs to be fixed and i need a complete warranty cover from M/s Toyota Kirloskar motors across all the nation wide service centers of the manufacturer for the full period from original date of deliver as per the terms of the manufacturer.
