The online store Tradus.com advertised a product named Birde Double Walled Stainless Steel Sipper -750 ml, which they claimed to be priced Rs 499/- and selling at a discounted price of Rs 159/-. The seller was advertised to be Sarvmangal. Impressed by the image of the product I made an order for one product to be shipped to me and made online payment of Rs 200/-, Rs 41/- being shipment and other charges levied by the site/ seller. The product was delivered to me on 20/09/13 and upon unpacking I find an utterly useless canister gaudily painted with absolutely no information on packaging and manufacturing. No brand name, no manufacturing date, no price information. The product was claimed to be a sipper (water bottle) but it is absolutely useless and the cheap metal used in manufacturing is likely to injure the health if anything kept in the bottle is taken. I have lost my Rs 200/- on this as well much time spent on ordering it. The firm Tradus misled me that that they would arrange a reverse pick-up but didn’t keep their words.

1. I request that a raid should be made on the seller Sarvmangal (Sarvmangal 163 II Floor, Village – Pitampura, Delhi-34 (near madhuban chowk) Delhi Pin 110034) by the Department of Legal Metrology to seize products that violate rules regarding packaged commodities. 2. The amount of Rs 200/- defrauded from me should be recredited to my account.
